Usually four steps, compression, injection molding, extrusion, blow molding.

The first step, molding process is also known as moulding in industry. It is used in the forming of thermosetting plastics such as phenolic resin, urea formaldehyde resin and unsaturated polyester resin.

The second step, extrusion process is also called extrusion molding, is to use extruder to heat the resin continuously through the mold, extrusion of the desired shape of the product. Its advantage is that it can extrude various shapes of products, production efficiency is high, can be automated, continuous production; The disadvantage is that thermosetting plastics cannot be widely used in this method, and the size of products can be easily deviated.

The third step, injection molding process can also be called injection molding. Injection molding is a method of injecting thermoplastic plastic melt into the mold to get the product by cooling and curing under high pressure. The advantages of injection molding are fast production speed, high efficiency and automation, especially suitable for mass production. The disadvantage is the high cost of equipment and mold, the injection molding machine is not easy to clean.

The fourth step, blow molding process also call hollow blow molding. It is mainly a method of blowing hot resin type billet into hollow products by the pressure of compressed air, which includes two methods: blow molding film and blow molding hollow products. Blow molding is mainly used in the production of film products, various bottles, drums, POTS and so on.
